this book is so good. i forgot about the cult. they literally mentioned it in the beginning but every time they brought up the dr. atwood shit i was like “i don’t know laura, this sounds like a cult.”

do they think head is not sex? you’re constantly having sex at this point. what do you think is gonna happen in a week? does he think he’ll be less heartbroken if he never penetrates her?

emily really loves to create relationships where they live completely different lives or in different cities and goes “here, have anxiety about this for 20 more chapters.” even though i know it works out in all the previous stories.

just realized that she must be margaret’s sister. if it is i’m an idiot, and if it’s not then i’m also still an idiot. alice is trying to figure out who she is. it’s probably not her lover. it’s gotta be her sister.

this scene is so similar to the one in book lovers. run in to each other at a bar, hang out, walk her home, almost have sex. it’s not too crazy but it’s funny how similar these scenes are.
