This brings another thought to mind, overprotective parents raise the best liars. The reason I think this is because my best friend has really overprotective parents, and he has to lie about everything. When parents are overprotective, it is not good for kids, at least I believe, hey should be able to have their own choices, and if they go wrong talk to them, but at least give them a chance.

Peak starts the climb, somehow how he has a bad feeling about it, have you ever had that before. Just that feeling in your gut somethings going to go wrong. I have especially before sporting events, but most of the time everything turns out okay.

Mark finally has communication with earth and he couldn't have done with out his hard work and dedication of driving 20 days to go retrieve the path finder. It really truly shows that you can accomplish anything you put your mind to.

During my reading I noticed that the author was trying to catch me off guard, but I was ready for a surprise I have been waiting for it for a while. The author was smart, lacing surprising during times when you least expect it.

Peak is going through tough times. He doesn't know if he will even do the climb, but no one knows why. I predict that he will end up doing it and be really good.

Right now I feel that something is building up, there isn't alot of action. Something is going to happen I can feel it. Author usually catches you sleeping and bring out a whole new surprise, and I'm excited for it!

In today's reading a thought came through my mind. Would my parents ever let me travel somewhere alone. Because, Peak, was able to go to Afghanistan alone along with his other friends to climb. Then again, he's 15. But that's only 2 years older than I am, and I just can't seem to imagine my mom letting travel alone. Especially, when my mom won't even let go to sleepovers right now.

During this short period of reading I thought about the message the author was trying to get across. And I thought it was teaching us to not be all about fame.

Peak is a little different. He doesn't wan t the fame or money he wants to live a normal life. Which just about the opposite of me. Son-Jo is now getting endorsements, and he's completely fine with it. I just don't understand that, maybe I'll find out more.

The book started out in a flash back. Peak recorded himself the whole way Mt. Everest, so he could be the youngest person to reach the top of Mt. Everest. At least his dad wanted that. But Peak, didn't want all the attentionand enodorsments and stuff. So he let his friend Son-Ju climb up first. And he videotaped him reaching the Peak of the mountain. Now Sun-Ju is famous, and Peak doesn't seem to regret it at all.
