I'm really glad I chose this book. Wilkerson has taken the story of the Great Migration, and writes about it in a way that not only personalizes it (with stories of people she's interviewed), but contextualizes it. I feel like I'm reading a novel, & can't wait to continue. I'm astounded by the evil that humans are capable of against other humans, and know that this is an important book to share our national history.
