This scene is so weird! I can't believe that Philip can go back in time and see whele William hid the key! This foreshadows a breakthrough in the mystery.

Who took the ring? I think Ewan stole the ring because he is selfish he did not want any body else to have it. But what good is it when he's been dead for half a century?

The author should've put in the scene where Jane was hit by a car. It would've added much more suspense when Philip walked into the house

I think the suspicious letter to Hamish symbolizes many more breakthroughs in the mystery. I think this because it refers to intercepting other letters.

Why does Susan's camera show things that are not there? Is it because it knows the house?

Why is Jane reading "Advanced Nuclear Reactor Theory?" Does she plan to blow up the Mount? I think she is not, she is just trying to scare the kids.

I infer that Jane will open up and tell Philip about the house. I predict this because Philip has been finding more and more about the house, and will eventually have to ask Jane about it.

This book is really exciting. I predict that the secret room has a ghost of Jane's father in it. Philip seems to b e creeped out by the picture of him. I don't know if he will have enough courage to go into the room.

Philip's character has changes throughout the first 30% of this book. In the beginning, he is very disgusted about staying at the creepy house on the hill. Now he is changing just a hare, into a person who wants to investigate the house and solve its 50+ year history.

I noticed that Philip is very disgusted with his situation. Why is it so bad staying at this house. He is always in a bad mood. I infer that Susan will open him up.
