shakespeare a straight up freak tho imma be real

ok ok. it’s so well written. it flows naturally and each step in iago’s plan reveals itself and develops naturally, and the way he seems to be figuring it out as he goes is very good too. his devilish and devious actions are met with a kind of wicked delight that i find very interesting. it’s wonderful. 2/5 acts done.

“If it were now to die,
Twere now to be most happy, for I fear
My soul hath her content so absolute
That not another comfort like to this
Succeeds in unknown fate” (76).

“They met so near
with their lips that their breaths embraced together” (82).

act 1 is excellent. it gets to the point. it lays out the plot in a natural way. the language is digestible and yet riddled with shakespeare’s uniquely beautiful verse. it’s a good start. i’m excited to keep going
