Meanwhile Tom is still having an affair and Daisy knows about it, but she fears that if she leaves him then she will be criticized by the public and her family.

The conflict or problem in my book is that Gatsby is in love with Daisy, but she is married to Tom and she doesn't want to leave him. Gatsby has a dream of him and Daisy living in his mansion and having a wonderful life, but Daisy wants to just run away and that frustrates him.

I'm on pg 273 in iBooks, which is more pages than the actual book is.

I choose to read this book because my brother showed me the movie and I fell in love with the story. It's about a man who moved to New York and ended up living next to a Avery wealthy man who happens to be in love with his cousin. I thought that the story was enticing, so I decided to read the book to get the full feel of it.

Right now in the book, Nick is meeting with his cousin Daisy Buchannon and her husband Tom Buchannon and they are catching up because it had been 3 years since they'd seen each other. I just realized that Tom is very racist. He had read books on how the "whites" we're dominant and Daisy doesn't agree with his views.
