C- It's hard to connect a historical fiction book to my own life, however I can connect to the intercate problems of all the characters lives intertwining. The war in the story has affected everyone, though on different levels. Whenever a problem occurs in my friend group, it affects every memeber differently, but still leaves a mark.

S- In the book, the characters have all bored a ship on their way to what they hope is a safer destination. Emilia had her baby, but the truth if who the father is comes out. Joanna and Florian share a kiss that restablishes their feelings. The group are all bored and safe for the moment.

S- The group has managed to arrive in Gotenhafen but lost one life on the joureny there. They arrived and found a war struckend town in worse shape then they exepcted. I can't comprend how events like these actually occur in our world.

P- In the novel right now, the characters are crossing paths and making their ways to shelter in Frauenburg. I predict Emilia will have her baby and it will die before they reach help. I also predict they will reach their destination, but something bad will be waiting for them there.
