The base is at a strategic disadvantage because of being at the bottom of the valley with mountains around them. This book could not take place in manhattan beach or any other suburb because it is not a War zone and Afghanistan is.

The situation of my book is that an army base called Keating is being overrun by the taliban they are slowly breaking the perimeter and killing some of the personal. Most of the other rangers are hunkered down in HQ were they are contacting Jalaqabad the nearest airforce base. The location of the book takes place in Nuristan, Afghanistan in a hot desert valley.

The book is realistic because it takes place in modern day Afghanistan. One of the examples of this is when the base is overrun by terrorists and everyone inside is killed except for three people who have fought their way out and survived until reinforcements arrived.

In the book Red Platoon the military base is slowly being overrun by terrorists. Red Platoon has put up a good fight so far until they find out that they are being flanked from behind were a fire is burning down the walls of the perimeter. Before they can take back the rest of the base they need to put out the fire. The helicopters from the Afghanistan base help them from the sky but cannot shoot at anything inside.
