Jennifer > Status Update

I read this short story (might have been a novelette) about two women who went to a nightclub in the late 1920s. There was a fight and a fed, a siren and a young couple who wanted to get out of the business. And I can't for the life of me remember what it was called, who wrote it, or where I read it.

It was prior to the Great Virus of September 2016, so I can't even go look in my history for it. Darn it!
