I'm rereading this because I could use some comfort. It's such a gentle and lovely book and I love how Ratty and Mole love each other.
Somehow, I never read this as a child but I don't think I could have appreciated then how beautifully this book portrays friendship.

I also kind of love how Kenneth Graham managed to hide a gay couple in plain sight.
