Left this one in the dust after not being captivated by the first story (‘Drive my Car’), but ‘Yesterday’ worked so well, mainly because it was infinitely funnier. It’s primarily the subtle linguistic mannerisms, and the little breaks between dialogue to reflect our narrator’s shortcomings that make this flaccid love triangle more entertaining than it should be.
