One of the important underlying themes of this book is definitely the separation between white people and African American people .through treatment of each, their dialects and use of language as well as grammar, jobs they have, where they live, and how much many they make is all different for whites and African Americans.

W this is particular chapter, but as each chapter changes a new character's point of view is portrayed. In addition, depending on how and where those people grew up, the way they talk and how good their speech and grammar is, is really different.

My little cousins cooper Tegan and Chase and are all about a little over a year apart. Every time I saw them I would ask how old they were, and slot of the time, at least one of them would forget. Just like little Mae Mobley who turned three. She would always say I am Mae Mobley two but now she has to say three, so she gets confused.

Favorite quote

Although this is simple quote it is showing that Minny truly cares about miss Celia, even to the point where she's yelling at her so she can get help from the doctor.

A) Why did Skeeter decide to go on a second date with Stuart after he treated her so badly? Why did skeeter tell Stuart that she wanted to be a writer instead of lying like her mom would tell her to do?

P Now that it is December in the book, predict that Miss Celia will end up telling her husband Mister Johnny about Minny like she is suppose to. I think he's going to want to fire Minny because he doesn't want a maid, he wants his wife, Celia doing the work for the house and in the kitchen.

S Flashbacks of the maid Constantine. Who she was very close with. When she went to college, she'd would write to her once a week.

(P) The book introduced Aibileen who is the help for Miss Leefort. She looks after Miss Leeforts child and cleans her home. Miss Leefort has a couple friends who are coming over for a lunch meeting of some sort. One of her friends miss hilly, is really rude to her mother and the help. I predict that Miss hilly will be extremely rude to Aibileen because she is going to have to use the same bathroom she uses.
