it feels like the book is picking up more! i was able to knock out a large chunk on a road trip, and it was so good! (quality entertainment) i’m torn between adolin’s and dalinar’s perspectives on the argument over dalinar’s visions. kaladin is making slow but steady progress with bridge four, eager to see what happens next (but it’s too dark outside to see the words)

it was nice to finally meet adolin and dalinar, but they’ll take a little getting used to. super interesting to look at an army perspective and to learn about the gemhearts! kaladin’s chapters did not disappoint. I love everything he’s doing as a bridge leader, and I’m excited to see what happens next! :0

wait guys it might be the good part IT MIGHT BE THE GOOD PART. stood up and cheered when kaladin didn’t jump into the honor chasm. he’s about to do something crazy I just know it. i’m going to miss shallan though…

NO SHALLAN PERSPECTIVE IN THE NEXT PART ☹️

every time a shallan chapter ends i’m like “noooo I want more shallan” and then every time a kaladin chapter ends i’m like “noooo I want more kaladin.” just one more chapter until part one is finished and then I think I won’t get either of them for awhile :(

kaladin is son. I love his determination. the bridge carrying sucks but it’s such an interesting concept. shallan is a great character but she lowk reminds me of myself and so i’m trying not to dislike her!

can we skip to the good part? world building is so hard to get through but quite brilliantly developed!
