Wow, this book is hard to get into. The main protagonist (so far) Elizabeth is supposed to be fifteen years old but she's written, acts like and is treated like an eleven or twelve year old. It's like something mature is going to happen somewhere down the line and the author jumped back and edited her age older without editing how people interact with her. It's just awkward and hard to get into.
