Truthfully, each chapter of this book deserves its own review. The details and facts are intricate and rigorous. One that won't feature in other typical book on the history of Turkey. Been a fascinating read so far. I'm glad to absorb the facts gradually despite the slow progress.
Part 4 of the book touches on the Ulema' establishment, Jews in the Ottoman empire, and the Christians.

Been reading this book after reading Hilal Icalnik: Ottoman Empire 1300-1600. Been an informative and critical read so far.
