I put this book down a fair number of times but not because of any flaw. I end up with audiobooks and it takes away from my time sitting down. Yet, whenever I do read I find it truly beautiful. How often does a person say that about a book?

It’s very interesting. Adding a human child into a perfect world has created a mental imbalance among those who had been charged with bringing the Earth into balance. This is the first human child in centuries and the erta are baffled and disturbed by its behavior. Ima, chosen to raise this child, is beginning to understand why humans were so different.
