Since that change was made, untold numbers of others who would have been lost at sea have been found.

The fact that she was numb with the shock of what she had just gone through at the moment she climbed onto the float actually served to insulate her from realizing fully what she was now up against. She continued as she sat on that float to feel some detachment and unreality as if she was still somewhat outside of herself observing what was happening.

The secretary in his divorce lawyer's office said he had actually asked her for a date when he came to see the lawyer. The secretary said she accepted because "he was one great big gorgeous hunk of a man." She added that she declined a second date, however. "Something about him made me uneasy."

Why would Harvey, surprised by Terry Jo’s reappearance on the deck of the sinking boat, hand her the line to the only means of saving his own life, the dinghy, when only seconds remained before the sailboat would be gone? ...he had only minutes before left her below. The only reason he would have paused is that he intended to take a few seconds to grab some kind of weapon and kill her after all.

The Gulf Lion captain noted that when Harvey climbed the rescue ladder, he was disheveled and barefoot, looking like a man who had abandoned a ship in desperate haste. While consistent with a sudden emergency, as Harvey claimed, collectively with other evidence it might suggest something else.
