Picking up his clothes like the immigrants from Timor picking up debris left by the tide, his shirt like a crumpled newspaper, his trousers like a frazzled basket...the Minister walking slowly behind his navel like someone behind a baby carriage…strangling himself in his shirt collar as if resigned to suicide

…I cry the way the pine trees cry into resin pots,without anyone ever noticing,it takes years to fill a pot,and the tears are never seen, when I was little I spent day after day among the pine needles in the forest…the liquid didn't increase by a whit,there was the same bit of sticky goo at the bottom…if only you understood…I'm like the pine trees,that it's not for lack of love that I don't say anything…
