It really explains her trauma, but throughout the series the cause focuses on her family instead of this piece of her history, which seems very disproportionate. The series should have more kitten talk at least, come on.

I'm not sure about the continuity. I think maybe I'm misremembering the beginning of the series a bit. And probably should have read this earlier on. This was a great introduction to Sindari and Willard, and I love that they worked out in the field together from their start. I liked Michael and wish we got more of him. I felt the ending skipped the emotions too much when it easily could have been very impactful.
