"Right," Georgie said, "right." She followed Heather to the car, then handed her the key fob. "You drive."
"Why?" Heather asked.
"I need to think."

"Do you love me, Georgie?"
"More than anything," she said. Because she was still telling the
truth, damn the torpedoes. "More than everything."

The way I'm going from laughter to tears with this one. Thank god I don't have an audience or there'd probably be an intervention right about now. But the sane kind of intervention, you know?! Oh well.

"You've always believed in aliens," she said.
"I have not," Neal said. "I'm a skeptic—I was a skeptic. Now I believe in aliens."
"Did you see some?"
"No. But I saw a double rainbow in Colorado."
She laughed. "John Denver wept."

And now I'm thinking about those Colorado rockie mountain highs and there are worse things that could happen, I think 😉

Everything would be better in the morning.

When Neal stepped into the archway between the living room and the dining room, Georgie was crouched on the floor, sopping up milk with a pair of her own underwear.
