If he's sacrificing the life of one to save thousands or whatever, I still can't imagine myself taking a liking to a character who sacrifices the lives of his brides on the night of their wedding, especially if he beds each and every one of them before killing them or letting them be killed? I don't really know what's really going on here just yet, but let's see...
