I figured out whodunnit a bit ago but only why just before the reveal. I found the writing didn’t flow as effortlessly as in the first book. It felt a little too conscious. Maybe less time honing it?? Second books are the toughest, they say. And though I didn’t find it pulled me in like the first one, I enjoyed it. I love that it’s a *Canadian* mystery fantasy series worth reading.
