This book is interesting only when it talks about how different cultures interpret well known Western stories, and how the styles are different. I’m not a fan of how often the author summarizes all of the movies/books/video games again and again lol

"The twist gives u the opportunity to se ho the character responds to an unplanned or unwelcome complication. In doing so, the character reveals their true nature. That twist also sets up the fourth act, where we're able to experience revelations about how the elements that came before are connected, connections that we might not otherwise have seen."

"Few if any of us will be able to avoid loss and suffering. However, all of us can strive to find meaning, even if we live in a far-from-perfect world, by nurturing connections with others. Stories that teach people that the only stories worth telling re ones about heroes who 'win' and defeat unjust systems, dodging loss and suffering, are at best unhelpful and at worst harmful."
