I feel like Tad Williams has provided me with the greatest gift ever. I have held off reading this sequel series for nearly a decade now, waiting to have ALL the books out. My reread of Memory, Sorrow And Thorn was momentous for me, I loved it so much. But this sequel series is taking my world by storm! I LOVE IT!

I have finished the first section of this novel, and I have to say I am blown away. Sure, I miss the painterly, leisurely prose and pacing of MST, which felt at times like a work of two hundred years past, not the 1980s. But this new series feels closer to modern fantasy and I think the new flavour really helps to set it apart. So far, fantastic. I am always excited to return to Osten Ard, and I am so glad Tad is too
