Notes:
(1) This just came on my radar, but once I saw that it's a Rick Remender book set in the 1980s, I was all-in.
- His other '80s series "Deadly Class" is one of my all-time favs.
(2) I'm only familiar with Brian Posehn from his acting. I do know he's written Deadpool for Marvel, so it's not like this is another celebrity vanity/self-insert project... at least not 100%.

Notes:
(1) You know, it's only just dawned on me now that the main characters are named Rick and Brian and so are the two writers.
- Chances are that some of this is autobiographical.
(2) We get a bit of a mini-arc with the house party issues, so it's not entirely just random situations.
- The moral being: stick together, because outcasts never get the benefit of the doubt.

Notes:
(1) We get an obligatory out-of-control house party plot.
- Which, you know, what's a teenage nostalgia trip without one?
(2) Suddenly all the skater kids are thick as thieves, and I can't help but wonder why.
- We were only just in the introduction phase with all of Rick's new friends.
- I know it's a limited series with limited space, but show some bonding moments.

Notes:
(1) There's not been any through-line story so far, just scenes and situations run on nostalgia fuel.
- I do appreciate that they use actual brand names, not parody names or soundalikes.
(2) We meet the Jens, who are like the Heathers from the movie "Heathers," except they're blonde skater chicks.
- There's really only one, Jen 2, who has a personality and backstory.

Notes:
(1) I feel like I should like this more than I do.
- Seemingly, it gets everything right. It feels '80s, the dialogue sounds authentic, it nails junior high cruelty, etc.
- I just wish there was more to the story than just outcasts being mocked.
(2) I dig the art style. It looks current, but with a throwback flavor.
- Like if you gave Archie comics a modern makeover.
