My favorite thing about writing Aspen and Lucian was the tension that always pulled so tight between them. The way they both craved each other, but were too damaged to see it for what it was and to watch them fight it so hard! Then when they gave in, it was like an explosion of delicious spice!

He leaned forward, and I wondered what he'd taste like. I wondered if we'd lose ourselves. I wondered how long it would go on—how far—before we stopped. How long it would be before he stopped? Because now that he'd wrested control, I didn't want it back.
