One of my favorite artists

I love the happy colours, and I love his involvement in advocating for gay rights; pools and poolsides I can take or leave; his Malibu / Santa Monica landscapes still seem to inspire contemporary works I see in galleries today. This graphic novel turns out to be a (really) light read, but touches on key moments in Hockney's journey. It's YA literature, and I don't know that I understood that from the get-go.
