Took a break from this because it was devastatingly boring. But now it’s picked up! This book really begins at chapter 14. Now it’s getting good. And boy oh boy, those Perdue Pharma fucks are evil.

So far, mostly about Arthur Sackler, the family patriarch and the pioneer of mixing pharmaceuticals and advertising. It’s getting slimy already.

I’ve been wanting to research this family for a while. I seldom refer to humans as “evil”, but what the Sackler family did to create the opioid crisis for unbelievable wealth makes my insides writhe.
