Finally rereading this after I'd been meaning to for so long before I dive into some of the other novels in this universe. I just checked and I'd read this in 2016 August??? almost 8 years ago, idk why I thought I'd read it 4-5 years ago when I started uni omg... no wonder I'd forgotten most of what was happening. The audiobook is as great as the first time around

SPOILER!!!!! (well I'm only theorizing but yknow) I'm pretty sure that the writings/diary entries before chapters belonged to the Lord Ruler. "The Terris prophecies say that I will have the power to save the world. They hint, however, that I will have the power to destroy it as well." The writings sound a lot like any other hero NICE though so either he turned evil or faked the entries later. or they're Kelsier's
