Victoria Oh! I haven't read this one. Is it good?

Joe Silber Yes! It's great! It's a little unsettling; it's about people who have suffered brain damage (either degenerative or due to stroke, etc, at least so far) and have unusual mental processing deficits as a result. One person cannot recognize objects unless she touches them, even though her vision is sharp. Another person suffers from aphasia. Another suffers from alexia - being unable to recognize and read letters/words, even though he can still write (but he can't read what he's written). It's fascinating, but terrifying to imagine, because all of these people still are 100% there mentally so they realize what's happening.
