Too many side stories, even though I don't mind, I hate that they come in at the most unexpected times. There would be a scene where they have to flee fast and suddenly a character would introduce some elven king or a maiden of the forest and start recounting their whole life story-- It's a little jarring

I'm liking this much more than I expected it to! The audiobook is like a full movie experience for my ears. The soundtrack and the voice acting is impeccable! I'm also following it along with the physical copy which was gifted to me (thanks to my lovely sister ♡) It's a fiftieth anniversay copy with artwork by Alan Lee! I love this so much!!!!!
