The bots poured Vân a coup of tea - and a ghostly cup shimmered into existence for Sunless Woods, in a overlay of Vân's room. The mindship didn't need food to sustain her body, but to her the complex, layered flavour of the tea would suggest pleasant memories - the same for Vân, reminding her of New Year's Eve and the smell of banana leaves, and the crinkle of red envelopes handed to children.
