Wow this book took a huge downturn. Like from being a page turner to a chore.

as much as i complain about it, i keep turning pages. it's not my favorite, but it's readable... thinking of stephen king's review.

amazing how quick you can get through a short book on a slow day at work

sloppy is a good word for it. like, someone who had a really cool dream but completely lacks the depth of literary ability needed to put it on the page. that and it's clearly battle royale.

i guess the good thing about reading way below my level is that it goes rather quickly

it's simplistic, and the story's been done better elsewhere, but it's not horrendous. i'm moving through it but i don't envision more than 3 stars.

Because its the only way I could get Steph to try Lois McMaster Bujold.
