Torn. There are some interesting moments here, but it's so drawn out.

But having said that, I legitimately distracted by Kit breathing in ozone during every climax... #awkward

Pushing to finish today.

Pettersson has put a great deal of energy into establishing Kit's insecurities over Evelyn...

All that energy is killing the pace of the book and making it hard to appreciate it as a romance. All signs indicate that we're hurdling toward a breakup and a not-so-HEA.

Slow but steady progress on this one.

Starting in a good place, but can we hold it? That is the question.

I debated moving into book two of this series taking a break to read something else.

Ultimately decided it'd be too hard to.bring myself back to these books. It's now or never and since the goal of BOUGHT IT & FORGOT IT is to read what I own, never isn't really an option.

Upside, book two is sixty pages shorter than book one!
