just finished “the bare manuscript”. that was like something i’ve never read before.
i wonder if these short stories are mean to fit together into one cohesive lesson or if each one is trying to get at something new.
in this one it’s the depths a man goes to to rediscover his internal flame that is yet alive but lost due to his relationship. not a good approach to do that rediscovery, even though it works

“How do you do”… the way my jaw dropped…
“The Performance” started off really slow, as I started reading it a couple days ago it felt pretty dull. But after you get into the chaotic and adventurous life of Harold May, you’re teleported into his world of tap dance.
The suspense of who he was going to be performing for, the tension of when they’ll find out… just everything about this story is great
