Ioana Visan's story was quite great, combining SF elements with some "ancient" history. The existence of a mechanism to defend the city reminds me of stories about Atlantis, which had a similar mechanism. The story is captivating, with a romantic happy ending (a little bit tragic in the moment when Andrei and Mihnea didn't get out and the image of the smoke eating the aerostat).

No wonder we have no advanced technology or highways or even streets...because we run from it. We do not accept what we do not understand. Close to the reality. Good job!

Nice. More than nice. Why didn't we have a Grig to tell us when the comunism will fall? Our first AI that must die just because it is too smart, something familiar, because those who know too much disapear. I look forward for other stories of Aron Biro. Liked the style.

I always was interesting in alchemy but all I know is that if you want something you have to give something in return...liked the end when Nazat reached present days without knowing why or how...it reminds me of Eliade's La Tiganci.

Amazing story. First time I thought that Calistrat died in the beginning and the rest of the action was on the other world...but when i have finished the story i saw that his big mouth got him killed. What can I say? One of the best stories from the book.

Nice view of the world today...where idiots rule the world and suppress the intellectuals...we can say that gypsies are like this and like that but in the end they are way better than us.
