Cat Rambo's "The Subtler Art" is a fine piece of humorous S&S fantastic done adroitly. Nicely played, Cat! The kind of humor I enjoy in my S&S.

still plowing through these assassins. bound to be a mix of quality in a bowl this large, and there is. good thing thus far - all tales live up to the title and billing. many are fun adventures, very few are simple placeholders. I like the smorgasbord of authors I'd never or barely read, though; nothing better than a themed anthology to find more one enjoys. forward!

Despite recognizing the secret of Mark Lawrence's "The Secret" within heartbeats, my anticipation was not betrayed. decent story of an interesting fellow.

good introductions to Mark Smylie's & John Gwynne's writing. I enjoyed Gwynne's short story better, but I want to read Smylie's novel The Barrow more.

Paul S. Kemp's "A Better Man" has some of the best action thus far, and is certainly one of the best tales.

Michael J. Sullivan's tale is the funnest thus far...though I find Royce rather cool, I have no idea how anyone could remain partners with him for any length of time.
