glad to be near the end of this book! "The Potter's Daughter" was dark and sad, though I put the first book in the series on my wish list because it is highly regarded...and "The Day of Glory" was also dark and technical, which made it hard to read for me..

Ookay, a couple of stories here...a cliché, then the story I got this book for, which was so short.....then the dark "Expedition, with Recipes", then the one that won me over with Neil Gaiman, and, finally, the dark and gripping "Chanting the Violet Dog Down", which made me want to read the rest of the series...
