It was driving me crazy thinking the girl from the first book was in this friend group (but it was annoying me that they were all single even though one was supposed to have a demon boyfriend), but they just made the connection and Rayna was whole different situation/place. Okay I can continue on peace now hahaha Maybe it pays to reread even in an interconnected standalone hahaha
