Just when the plot finally picked up and there weren’t as many pages-long descriptions of the minutiae of space travel or robot operation, the story skips ahead THOUSANDS of years and now we have pages-long descriptions of the minutiae of the habitats and space travel operation of a nearly incomprehensible future civilization. Well, at least it’s still helping me fall asleep every night!

This unfortunately has got to be the most boring end of the world book ever. I’m over halfway through and there’s so much detailed focus on the minutia of operating in space - the author really wants to prove he did his homework - but there really isn’t much story so far.

Trying to make an effort to read this more consistently and maybe even finish it???

I have been trying to read this book for so so long and now I just read a page or so to help fall asleep… it’s not bad at all, just really dense… or maybe just I am…
