So far I don’t get it, 7 chapters in and this dude has *insisted* on letting a stranger stay at his house. Already having ‘violent’ ideas of hurting someone else for a chick he doesn’t even know yet. And she’s more than willing to stay with him and tell him her (very illegal) secrets. It just seems really rushed.
