Firstly, there are actually 582 pages to this novel and not 400, Goodreads. This is a complex detective story set in the early 70s. A whodunnit. Easy to get into, lots of old fashioned sexism by the Met, and a page turner.

I think I can predict that the bank robbers are going to get caught by the Met team who have them under surveillance. Still, it's fun experiencing the tense build up.
