Although I promised myself not to judge Lena too much and too soon, her envy towards Lila—I can’t help but ticked off by. To pull away from such infuriation, there was a sentence that calmed me for a bit: “I and Lila, we two with that capacity that together—only together—we had to seize the mass of colors, sounds, things, and people, and express it and give it power.”

Turns out I judged Lena way too soon because in the end this book is written into point of view of her which is Lena. Books with certain points of views can sometimes make the reader have certain biases within the characters of the book. Lila is definitely selfish and takes advantage of people.
