Ch4Pt5 - How can the bourgeois exploit the White working class yet prevent class consciousness? This is the core contradiction that the settler bourgeois aimed to solve during Reconstruction. It was managed by providing petty privileges to white workers, like respect, authority, and land-owning rights. Stratifying workers into language-specific communities prevented workers from developing a class consciousness.

Ch4 Pt3 - White unionists were nationalistic and servile to the Empire capitalists that they "opposed". 1850s, White unionists sought petite-bourgeoisie life in California. After the Chinese built thousands of miles of railroads, wheat farms, entire industries in the West, white settlers annexed their jobs and communities. They drove out Chinese labor with the 1882 Exclusion Act and decades of terrorism and violence.

Ch 4 Pt 2 - White Abolitionists favored ending slavery, not for righteous altruism, but as a means to make America a white ethnostate. Northerners feared the increasing Afrikan population in the South and feared a Haitian-like revolution. By abolishing the Southern "Slave Economy", the North could remove Afrikans from the states. Even Lincoln was in favor of deporting Afrikans to Africa, the Caribbean, or elsewhere.

Ch4 Pt1 - The potential for a white-black joint proletariat emerging from the worsening conditions in the mid-1800s was sabotaged by Euro-Settlers seeking land and autonomy. Euro-Settlers followed "Jacksonian" politics, labeling themselves as "oppressed" by the ruling class. But, not because their labor was exploited. They were "oppressed" because they felt they were not enjoying their fair share of Afrikan exploits

ch3, euro-immigrants rejected wage labor and captive afrikans formed rebellious communities, leading to a settler-capitalist crisis for conquering the american west. the need for westward expansion mixed with the instability of the slave economy would set the stage for the civil war decades later, as settler-colonialism could no longer sustain itself... in it's current form.

ch2 the war for independence and bacon's rebellion from an afrikan and indigenous lens. the two conflicts are referred to as "democratic" for the purpose of incestous patriotic propaganda. the freedoms fought for were to continue slavery, genocide, and exploitation. any freeing of enslaved afrikans was either 1) a lie or 2) means to reach an end (the end being more slavery)

There is no white working class. Western imperialism exports its working class to the global South. This is why America's working class has no class consciousness. Also, Marx failed to anticipate tiktok and ice cream.
