On the “smart” island they decided to raze their city and start over…do they not know that history repeats itself? That’s one of the dumbest things they could’ve done

I love that we’re talking about dragons as if we can control them and yet sometimes we talk about them as if they’re pets. What’s going on

Do I remember half these characters? No. Am I baffled by the politics that have suddenly appeared in this book? Absolutely. But I think Yarros is world building ~better~ than she has been, and I think the overall writing is similar to what the first two were.

Can’t wait for this to all go wrong :)

“I am yours and you are mine, and there’s no law or rule in this world or the next that will change that” is a great line, I just wish the stakes were higher when he said it
