Reminds me of the Unwind series. I’ve learned a spoiler from skimming the reading guide in the back. Something similar happens in Scorpion that happens in the Unwind series. I’m wondering who writes the scenario better between the two series. Both authors are masters at giving you the ick for what their worlds have allowed to happen to living beings.
