In the book's second chapter, I am surprised that Finny and Gene become best friends. They have entirely different characteristics. Finny is loud and athletic and often makes trouble. Gene, on the other hand, focuses on academics. Because they have different characteristics, I predict that in later chapters, they will end up arguing. I feel that they held different views on the same things.
