Intriguing world, though all of the key terms/people being constantly introduced is an overload. The tone/speech also clashes at times with the medieval era; sort of jarring. Nevertheless, I'm interested in the plot and will continue.

I'll give the show a shot; the story seems better suited for TV. The fantasy is on the peripheral too much, and the bleakness gets taxing. I would've been all over this as a teen, but my tastes have since changed.

Hmm, something about the sheer amount of scenes has made this hard to get through. Various parts sure were neat, but... I don't know, maybe it's the minimal fantasy that's a turn-off (like in Abercrombie's 'Half a King').
