Today in my reading. I found the appeal Logos as the text stated "Which means, in essence, as National Geographic has calculated, only 0.007 percent of the planet's water is available to fuel and feed its seven billion people." Here there's data used to show that it's Logos where the Earth's water is very limited and isn't sufficient for everyone in the later years.

In today's reading the one literary element that I found was imagery because the author uses a lot of informational data like stats and other numeric data to depicts how the Earth's weather conditions are going to be.

The best part of my reading today was when there was a part that said "China has invested in truly customized farming strategies to boost productivity and cut the use of greenhouse-gas-producing fertilizer". This shows that many countries are developing new innovations or starting to make a change that can result in a good impact for the country like how China did.

One thing that surprised me the most was when China commands half of the planet's coal-power capacity, with that only operate, on average, half of the time which means their use could only grow.

I think the author had to gather all the data from the past occurrence of natural disasters and use those to combine and make a book on how they are very impactful on earth. If I were to get an opportunity to meet the author, I would ask him about how he collected the data and organized it.
