Should rename this to Iain Reid and the Terrible, Awful, No-Good, Very Bad Book

My goal is to finish this out of spite. I want all the characters to die.

The characters feel flat to me and I am having issues with the narrative style (in a horror book the narrator should not be telling me things are creepy). However, I am intrigued enough to keep going.
